Vadim Sidur Museum

Vadim Sidur is a renowned Soviet sculptor who has received worldwide recognition. After returning from the the Great Patriotic War, he graduated from the Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts where he studied at the department of monumental sculpture. During his life he could not exhibit his works in the Soviet Union, but abroad he managed to hold more than 30 exhibitions. Nowadays, his sculptures can be seen in many countries including the monument to the Victims of Coercion in Kassel, the Admonisher (the Appealing One) in Dusseldorf, and the Portrait of Albert Einstein in the United States. In total, the museum's collection accounts for almost two hundred items - paintings, sculptures, poems, personal belongings and sketches. All of them reflect the major theme of all his life and work: "Violence is the main evil in the world"
