Museum-apartment of Goldenveizer

Museum-apartment of Goldenveizer

Alexander Goldenveiser is one of the greatest musicians of the late 19th — early 20th century, a remarkable pianist, composer, professor and director of the Moscow Conservatory. The museum tells a lot of the significant musical and cultural life of Moscow, since the 1880s. There is a big music library and a book collection, paintings, graphics, unique musical and literary autographs, photos, a set of concert programs. The museum is steeped in «Tolstoyan theme» (Golovanov was a close friend of Leo Tolstoy); there are lots of documents, photographs, memorabilia, which create a «presence effect» of the great writer.
